Join us for this month’s general meeting to learn about your local water resources. First up is an update on the desal plant project proposed for Santa Cruz and Soquel Creek Water Districts. This time hear from Rick Longinotti from desalalternatives.org with a brief recap of the presentation from Heidi Luckenback of SCWD2. Then we’ll move on to talk a little about the new Ocean Friendly Gardens program we are just starting that will reduce our water use and prevent runoff into our oceans. Get some tips on making your outdoor spaces more Ocean Friendly!

TGIF everybody! Just a reminder- Surfrider is not hosting a beach cleanup tomorrow, even though it’s the first Saturday of the month. We’re doing the April cleanup on the 16th to coincide with Santa Cruz’s Earth Day celebration. Feel free to show your beaches some love anyway!
