So here's a SURFRIDER CALL FOR ACTION! EMAIL....CALL....SHOW UP AT THE MEETING and SPEAK UP!
We want the council to understand the coastal community WANTS this proposed ordinance! JULY 10, 7 P.M at council chambers.
We're asking all of you to take a little time to get this done. Let's ALL get on-record that we want this ordinance in place! Please, come to the council meeting and let's create a BIG VISUAL PRESENCE. NOW IS THE TIME TO SPEAK UP!
The Santa Cruz City Council meeting on July 10 at 7:00 p.m. will also be our Chapter General Meeting for July, so please, show up and take action. We want to pack the meeting room and we want a l-o-o-o-ong line of advocates to line up to say "I'm with Surfrider, Santa Cruz, and I support this ordinance!" Let's use numbers to make it absolutely clear that we are in favor of a single use plastic bag ban! Remember, Surfrider is YOU! It's our coast, and if we don't act to protect it, who will?
