International Surfing Day - Sunday June 23rd!

Join us this Sunday, June 23rd, for a two-part celebration with Patagonia, celebrating the 9th Annual International Surfing Day, that Encourages People To Surf And Enjoy The Waves! NOTE: BOTH EVENTS ARE FREE, KIDS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND, AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

Daytime Event: Short board, long board, no board, International Surfing Day returns, on Sunday, June 23rd, at Cowell's beach from 11:00 am - 2 pm. Join us for a day on the beach with Music, a Beach Clean Up, Group paddle out/surf (bring your board!),Teaching volunteers how to collect water samples with the BWTF, Sand Castle contest, Free food from Woodstocks, free ear inspections from Docs Pro Plugs, and special raffle prizes from Patagonia, Whole Foods, and more!Early Evening Event: Meet us in the early evening at the PatagoniaSantaCruzOutlet. Together we will learn about Ocean Friendly Gardens that keep our beaches and oceans healthy. The Oikonos Grant Recipient will also provide us an update on the West Cliff Restoration Project. Sustainably harvested ocean-friendly food will be highlighted along with local beer. Local Musician, Ashley Lloyd and her band, The Shapes, will perform.

Pancakes Tomorrow at Patagonia: To celebrate the kick off of International Surfing Day Surfrider and Patagonia will be serving up free pancakes on the patio tomorrow, Thursday, June 20th! More info here!
