Donations directly supports Surfrider Foundation Santa Cruz Chapter and the local programs that defend the health of our coast and ocean—right here in Santa Cruz County.
From tackling plastic pollution to monitoring water quality, your support fuels grassroots action and empowers our volunteer-led chapter to protect what we love most.
We’re a 100% volunteer-run chapter powered by community members like you.
Your contribution supports:
🌊 Beach Cleanups: We removing thousands of pounds of trash every year from beaches spanning all of Santa Cruz (like Cowell's, Seabright, and Seacliff)—keeping them clean and safe for you and your family to enjoy.
💧 Blue Water Task Force: We test water quality at popular beaches and surf spots, sharing real-time results to protect public health and safety.
📊 Beach Guardian Program: We monitor the health of our local beaches, report environmental conditions, and gather data to inform advocacy and protection efforts.
📣 Coastal Advocacy: We fight for stronger protections against overdevelopment, erosion, and sea level rise while preserving public beach access.
🎓 Community Education & Outreach: We aim to inspire the next generation of ocean defenders.
